Evaporative air conditioning uses evaporation to cool the air. A pump circulates water from the reservoir on to a cooling pad, and a fan draws air from outside the unit through the moistened pad.

With a ducted reverse cycle system, hot and cold air are distributed by ducts from a central unit. This type of system provides economical heat by “reversing” the operation of the air conditioner.

Single room reverse cycle split systems can provide heating or cooling, allowing for individual control of the temperature of each room. These systems are typically less expensive to install than whole house systems.
